I saw a nice snow in Bracke Sweden.
I am in Sweden.
From Meraaker where 25km behind border in Norway to here, I used train.
At first I never think I use train, but good couple whom I met in Meraaker they gave me ticket to Ostersund, so I am in here”.

Now I am in Borden in Sweden.Here is more colder than Norway. Now it is -16.2°C / 2.8°F degrees.
It is so hard biking on skating rink.
Tomorrow, I drive for Jokkmokk and I will pass through Lapland.
One of the most smaller population in Scandinavia.

スウェーデンにいる。
北緯65度まで来た。北極圏まで直線距離で約80km。さすがに厳しさを感じている。
ノルウェーのクウォールを出発してから国境近くまでの3，4日間は、それこそ、もっともハードな日々だった。
ストームとはいえないまでも激しい降雪、降雨が続いた。今冬は暖かいと何度かお伝えしてきたが、気温が0℃前後、暖かい日は3℃まで上昇した。結局すべてが濡れた。

手袋も靴も重く水分を含んだままで風を受けることは辛かった。滅多にあることではないが、何度か疲労で走りながら睡魔に襲われた。その度に立ち止まり、雪を顔にまぶし、自分を落ち着かせた。
どこまで冷静でいられるかが路上では命を左右する。それは自転車乗りになってからいつも僕の課題であり肝に銘じてきたことだ。
水分を非常に含んだ雪は重かった。こんな雪はノルウェーに降り立って初めてだった。－20℃での走行と0℃降雪での走行では、後者がはるかに厳しい。濡れたテントの中では、濡らさないようにしても寝袋まで水を吸う。夜間－5℃、風あり。濡れた寝袋の中で、下着も靴下もフェイスマスクも体温で乾かすしかなかった。生暖かくなるだけで乾くことはないのだが。

途中、ノルウェーからスウェーデンへの国境越えはストームのため自転車では不可能だと25km手前の町で言われ、列車のチケットをいただいた。Stigさんとその家族に、心からお礼申し上げます。Tusen takk.
スウェーデンに入っても多くの人が助けてくれている。Brackeという町で電車に自転車は積めないと指摘されたが、食い下がり自転車を解体し梱包することで許可を得たが、その梱包は駅近くの会社の人たちが行ってくれた。また観光案内所のお姉さん方にはチケットの手配や新聞取材、長い待ち時間の間に荷を乾燥させてくれたり食事をとらせてくれたりと、このご好意にどう報いたらいいのか分からないほどあたたかい心を賜っている。Tack tack.
このBordenブーデンから最北端の岬まで約1000kmである。ここからが本当の勝負どころになる。不必要な荷を日本に送り返し身を軽くした。最低限度の荷で挑んでいく。

とても嬉しく思います。ありがとうございます。
実は地球ラジオを母がよく聞いており、たまには投稿しなさいよといわれ続けて今日にいたりました。
最北端の岬まで30kmのところまで来ました。
－30℃と風の影響で足指の凍傷が治っていません。
またアンデスに並ぶ暴力的な風が吹いており少し恐ろしくも感じていますが、いまの僕でいけるところまでいってきます。
近況はいずれこのwebsiteに、地球ラジオにも載せてもらえるよう努力します。
寒い時期が続きます。

昨年上田市で旅峰さんの講演をきいた者です。
昨日(1月29日)夕刻の地球ラジオが食卓でついており、
なんとなく聞いていたところ、旅峰さんの名前が！
遠い国から知っている方の便りを聞けるのは嬉しいですね。
ラジオのいいところ。
ただ、現地の自転車旅の様子は厳しそうでした。
(当然といえば当然なのですが。)
