I stayed over 2 month in Kigali, Rwanda, this is the longest stay at one place on my journey.
In here, I collected witness of genocide in 1994. This is among the biggest theme for me. I have few time to write about Rwanda genocide now, but I will make a manuscript.
Next Monday, 9th I leave Kigali and go to next country.
I leave 4 month reach the Cape Hope. Thanks.
A PROSPECTUS (※to some authorities in Rwanda)
I am a Japanese cyclist traveling around the world. This journey has started from Norway and
will end in South Africa. In Japan. Now on my journey, I am just a journalist and when I go back to Japan, I will tell to children and next generation what I have learnt along.
The theme on my journey is about “Education, environment, nature, culture, each life style, especially peace and war”.
I visited a lot of cities and countries that have history of genocide, heavy war and mass atrocities in general like Auschwitz, Ieper, Bosnia, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Uganda, etc.
I believe that any population has unfortunately and potentially the risk of a mass atrocity happening depending on its own divisive tensions and situations.
The reason why I am traveling around the world, I would like to hear and learn about the truth behind all mass atrocities including genocide. It is not to criticize any specific person or group, but it is up to us together as Humankind to find a method to stop this chain of mass atrocities and solve all together Human conflict by learning from the past.
It may be difficult to get rid of war and conflict in general from our Human world; however, we have to do something. That is up to us adults and our generation today the duty toward our children and next generation prosperity.
I will not dramatize your story. I will only receive it and share just as you tell it to me.
