Description
I have gotten some of money few days ago(paying for camping instructor or etc) and I contributed 43,780 JPY to Save the Children. This is my mission.
After cycling of North and South America which was my first stage around the world, I started small action for donation to Save the Children(NGO). Because I passed beside of a lot of children who can not move by hunger. I said “sorry” to them in my heart but I just run away from that terrible situation.
I wanted contribute them more money but I can not do it.
Anyway my journey finished so I want to end this action. Instead of that I am thinking another way to help them.
先日、少しまとまったお金が入りましたので一部を国際NGO、Save the Childrenに寄付いたしました。これは北南米帰国後から僕が個人的に行ってきた「小さな夢の募金」活動で、自転車の移動1kmにつき1円を積み重ね、毎月子ども基金に当ててきたものです。

これは、栄養失調で動けなくなっている子どもたちのすぐ横を僕は何もできずに通り過ぎてきたことと、中南米の僕が通ったルートではSave the Childrenの活動をよく目にしてきたことから始めました。本来なら1kmにつき10円やそれ以上の額を積算していきたいのですが、活動資金で困っていた僕としてはこれが精一杯でした。
なお、日本で旅の準備していた間、講演で訪れた多くの場所でたくさんの方々からこの活動に対するご協力をいただきました。改めてお礼申し上げます。
この活動は、旅が一区切りついたことからいったん終了しようと思います。今後は別のかたちで何らかの行動を起こせたらと考えていますが、それがどこに焦点を当てどういう方法で行っていくのか、それにはもう少し時間が必要です。
今回の旅の全走行距離は43,780kmであることから、些細な額でとても恥ずかしいのですが、43,780円をSave the Children子ども基金に寄付したことと、いったんこの活動を終えることをこの場でご報告いたします。
